Bayonne BLM Protest — June 7, 2020

Black Lives Matter.

Bayonne, NJ. 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Another Hudson County protest drew hundreds to Stephen R. Gregg Park in Bayonne on Sunday.

The crowd marched with signs and chanted down the road in the park to the park’s steps.

Here, protesters kneeled for 8 minutes and 46 seconds — the same amount of time former Minnesota officer Derek Chauvin left his knee on George Floyd’s neck, later being Floyd’s cause of death.

Bayonne’s demonstration is just one of thousands that’s surged nationwide and one of dozens in Hudson County.

Protesters at the rally urged people to not stop caring. They said in order to truly make a change, the fight must continue because protests are just the beginning.
