From federal freeze scares to a call for more local firehouses, here’s what’s been happening in Hudson County and New Jersey.
NJ Transit launched a new project called NewBus Hudson. This effort aims to reasses 32 commuter routes and improve them for commuters.
“It’s really important that we hear everybody, that we make [Liberty State Park] a place that speaks to everyone,” said Shawn LaTourette.
The Hoboken PATH Station is expected to reopen on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 5 a.m. leaving commuters to have to find alternative routes to get into and out of the city.
And in Hudson County, New Jersey, many families are joining in on the festivities, which officially starts today, Wednesday, Jan. 29.

This Saturday, an event addressing the Liberty State Park revitalization proposals will take place at Liberty Science Center.
“I couldn’t see, so I thought that the glare from the car coming towards me was a street light. I was also racing,” New Jersey resident Caldwell told Slice of Culture.
