Let’s Make Coriander Salan

One day I had greens like coriander and mint laying around in my fridge and decided to make a salan or curry out of it. I don’t know about you, but I love coriander.

I would describe this meal as fresh and tart. The lemon juice is what brings the citrusy flavors. The tomatoes help bring the juiciness.

Here is how I made this dish!

  1. Place your pan over high heat. Add 1 tbsp of ginger garlic paste and olive oil to the pan.
  2. While the oil heats up, cut up 2 tomatoes, 1 red onion, 1 ginger, coriander, mint, and 5 cloves of garlic.
  3. Add the vegetables to the heated pan.
  4. As the vegetables sauté, marinate your choice of meat. I used chicken thighs. Marinate the chicken in lemon juice, turmeric, chili powder, minced garlic, and chili flakes.
  5. Add 1 tbsp of salt, pepper, chili powder, cumin powder, turmeric, garlic powder, ginger powder, onion powder, and basil powder to the sautéed vegetables.
  6. Add the marinated chicken into the pan and cook on low heat with the lid covered for 30-35 minutes.
  7. Enjoy and serve!
